Privacy policy
Effective 25 October 2026
Who we are
Roomprint is made by LOW Works, an independent app developer based in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). If you have any questions about this policy, email hello@lowworks.co.uk.
What the app collects
Nothing. Roomprint has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising and no servers of its own. We never receive your scans, floor plans, photos, address, location or anything else you create in the app.
Information kept on your device
To do its job, the app stores the following on your iPhone or iPad:
- Your floor plans: plan and room names, wall measurements, doors, windows, furniture, and the colours and finishes you choose.
- The room data from each LiDAR scan, so the plan can be exported as a 3D model later.
- The direction of north and the street address, if you allow location access.
- Notes you pin to a plan, and any photos you add to them.
- Your settings, such as units and paper size.
You can delete a plan at any time by pressing and holding it on the Plans screen and choosing Delete. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored on your device.
iCloud Drive
If iCloud Drive sync is turned on in Roomprint’s Settings, your plans are saved as files in Roomprint’s folder in your own iCloud Drive, so they appear on your other devices. Apple holds these files under its own privacy policy. We cannot see or access them. You can delete them from the Files app.
Permissions the app asks for
- Camera: to scan rooms with the LiDAR scanner, to match a colour when you point the camera at something, and to take a photo for a note if you choose to. A photo you take for a note is saved with the plan on your device (and in your iCloud Drive if sync is on). Roomprint doesn’t save any other photos or video, and the camera feed is only used on your device.
- Location (optional): to read the compass while you scan, so the plan knows which way is north, and to look up your street address for printed drawings. The address is looked up through Apple’s location services, which receive your approximate position to do this. Roomprint stores only the address and the direction of north, with the plan, on your device.
- Photos: when you choose a photo for a note, Apple’s photo picker gives Roomprint only the photo you pick. It can’t see the rest of your library. If you save an exported picture to Photos, iOS asks first, and Roomprint can only add pictures, not look at them.
You can change any of these permissions at any time in the iPhone Settings app. Without location access, Roomprint works the same but plans won’t have a north arrow or address.
Screenshots
If you take a screenshot of a plan before buying the unlock, Roomprint notices that a screenshot was taken and offers the full-quality export. It does not see, read or store the screenshot itself.
Exporting and sharing
When you export or share a plan, Roomprint creates the file on your device and opens the iPhone share sheet or print dialog. You choose where it goes. We are not involved and don’t receive a copy.
In-app purchases and ratings
Unlocking print, export and share is a one-off purchase made through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the payment and we never see your card or Apple Account details. The app checks with Apple, on your device, whether you’ve bought it, so the purchase can be restored on your other devices. If you rate Roomprint, that goes through Apple too.
Email updates from our website
If you sign up for updates on our website, we keep your email address so we can send you news about Roomprint, such as new features and tips for using the app. We only use it for that, and only with your consent, which you confirm by clicking a link in the first email.
The list is run for us by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), which stores the data in the European Union and acts on our instructions. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time by emailing hello@lowworks.co.uk. We never sell or share it.
Our website and Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. The app does not. Google Analytics tells us how many people visited, which pages they looked at, how they found the site (for example from a search or another website), roughly where they are (country and city) and what kind of device and browser they used. We use this only to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. That is our legitimate interest, and it is our lawful basis for using this data.
To count visits, Google Analytics stores two cookies in your browser: one named _ga and one whose name starts with _ga_. They hold a random ID so that a repeat visit isn’t counted as a new person, and they last up to two years. They don’t contain your name or email address. Google Analytics doesn’t store your IP address.
Google processes this data for us under its data processing terms, and it may be handled in the United States under the UK’s data bridge with the US. We don’t use it for advertising. The detailed records are deleted after 14 months at most. You can read Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Turning it off. The button below stops Google Analytics on this website in this browser and removes its cookies. You’ll need to do it again in each browser you use, or if you clear your browser data. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on, which works on every website.
Children
Roomprint isn’t aimed at children, and the app doesn’t collect information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you have rights over your personal data. The app holds nothing about you on our side. You can object to Google Analytics at any time by turning it off on this page. If you’ve signed up for email updates, you can ask to see, correct or delete your email address at any time. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, for example by adding analytics, we will update this page and the App Store privacy details before that version is released. If we change how the website uses your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
