Privacy policy
Effective 22 October 2026
Who we are
Tenventory is made by Low Works, an independent app developer based in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). If you have any questions about this policy, email hello@lowworks.co.uk.
What the app collects
Nothing. Tenventory has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising and no servers of its own. We never receive your name, email address, photos, reports, location or any other information you enter in the app.
Information kept on your device
To do its job, the app stores the following on your iPhone or iPad:
- Property addresses, tenancy details, deposit details and the names and email addresses of tenants, landlords and agents you enter.
- Photos, videos, comments, signatures, meter readings and documents you add to reports.
- Your own name, email, phone number, agency name and logo, which appear on the reports you send.
You can delete any of this at any time in the app, or all of it from Settings → Demo and Reset → Delete All Data and Start Again. Deleting the app also deletes it from your device.
iCloud
If iCloud sync is turned on, your Tenventory data is stored in your own private iCloud database so it appears on your other devices. Apple holds this data under its own privacy policy. We cannot see or access it.
Permissions the app asks for
- Camera: to take photos and videos of the property, stamped with the date and time, and to scan documents.
- Location: to record where each photo was taken, as evidence it was taken at the property. Location is only used while you are taking photos and is stored only with the photo on your device.
- Microphone: to record sound on walk-through and alarm-test videos.
- Notifications: for reminders you set, such as deposit protection deadlines and certificate expiry dates.
Choosing photos or files uses Apple’s system pickers, which only give the app the items you select. You can change any permission in the iPhone Settings app.
Sending reports
When you send a report, Tenventory opens your own Mail app or the share sheet with the PDF attached. The email is sent by you, from your account, to the people you choose. We are not involved and do not receive a copy.
In-app purchases
Unlocking Tenventory is a one-off purchase made through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the payment and we never see your card or Apple Account details. The app checks with Apple, on your device, whether you’ve bought it, so purchases can be restored on your other devices.
Email updates from our website
If you sign up for updates on our website, we keep your email address so we can send you news about Tenventory, such as new features and the Android version. We only use it for that, and only with your consent, which you confirm by clicking a link in the first email.
The list is run for us by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), which stores the data in the European Union and acts on our instructions. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time by emailing hello@lowworks.co.uk. We never sell or share it.
Our website and Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. The app does not. Google Analytics tells us how many people visited, which pages they looked at, how they found the site (for example from a search or another website), roughly where they are (country and city) and what kind of device and browser they used. We use this only to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. That is our legitimate interest, and it is our lawful basis for using this data.
To count visits, Google Analytics stores two cookies in your browser, named _ga and _ga_T50E65BH0X. They hold a random ID so that a repeat visit isn’t counted as a new person, and they last up to two years. They don’t contain your name or email address. Google Analytics doesn’t store your IP address.
Google processes this data for us under its data processing terms, and it may be handled in the United States under the UK’s data bridge with the US. We don’t use it for advertising. The detailed records are deleted after 14 months at most. You can read Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Turning it off. The button below stops Google Analytics on this website in this browser and removes its cookies. You’ll need to do it again in each browser you use, or if you clear your browser data. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on, which works on every website.
Children
Tenventory is designed for adults managing a tenancy. The app doesn’t collect information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you have rights over your personal data. The app holds nothing about you on our side. You can object to Google Analytics at any time by turning it off on this page. If you’ve signed up for email updates, you can ask to see, correct or delete your email address at any time. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, for example by adding analytics, we will update this page and the App Store privacy details before that version is released. If we change how the website uses your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
