## Who it's for

Homeowners and renters planning furniture, decorating or getting quotes. Estate agents, architects and builders can use the PDF, DXF and IFC exports.

## Devices

- Scanning needs LiDAR: iPhone 12 Pro or later Pro / Pro Max, or iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd generation) or 12.9-inch (4th generation) or later.
- Requires iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 or later.
- Viewer mode works on any iPhone or iPad running iOS 18 or iPadOS 18, for plans scanned on a Pro device and synced through iCloud Drive.
- There is no Android version.

## Features

- **Scan:** detects walls, doors, windows and furniture. Rooms scanned one after another line up on one plan, and multiple floors are supported.
- **Plan:** wall lengths and room areas in metric or imperial, a north arrow, undo and redo. Move and resize furniture; walls stop it passing through.
- **Decorate:** paint colours (any hex code, or matched with the camera), plus wood, tile, carpet, stone and wallpaper at true scale, and furniture.
- **3D view:** cut-away or full-height walls, an eye-level view from inside, tap to paint, evening lighting and editable doors.
- **Measure and check:** fix walls, measure between two points, check the gap from furniture to walls, and add numbered notes with photos.
- **Paint and flooring calculator:** estimates litres, tins, packs, boxes and rolls, leaving out doors and windows and allowing for cuts.

## How it works

1. Name your plan.
2. Scan a room by walking slowly round its edge, then tap Finish room.
3. Name the room, choose the floor, and move on to the next.
4. Paint, change flooring and rearrange furniture in 2D or 3D, and correct any wrong walls.
5. Print to scale, save a PDF, or send a CAD or BIM file.

## Exports

- PDF drawing sheets at standard scales (such as 1:50 or 1:100) on A4, A3, Letter or Tabloid
- AirPrint
- PNG pictures
- DXF for CAD software
- IFC for BIM software
- USDZ 3D models

Exports can include a small "Created with Roomprint" mark, which can be turned off in Settings.

## FAQ

**Which devices can scan?**
Pro-model iPhones (iPhone 12 Pro or later) and iPad Pros with LiDAR. Other iPhones and iPads open Roomprint in Viewer mode.

**How accurate is it?**
Usually within a few centimetres in a typical room. Mirrors, large windows, dark walls and clutter can reduce accuracy, so check key measurements with a tape measure for made-to-measure work.

**How long does a scan take?**
About a minute for a bedroom or living room.

**Can I scan a whole house?**
Yes, room by room, including multiple floors.

**Does it detect furniture?**
Yes. You can turn this off in Settings.

**Can I send plans to professionals?**
Yes, as PDF, DXF or IFC files.

**Is the print to scale?**
Yes. Print at 100% and you can measure it with a scale ruler.

**Can I use imperial units?**
Yes, in Settings.

**Can I use it for property listings?**
Yes, with the Room Sizes & Area Schedule option, which includes a "for illustration only" note.

**Can I hide measurements?**
Yes, with the ruler button. Exports always include them.

**Can I fix walls?**
Yes, in Edit Walls: drag them or type exact lengths.

**Can it estimate paint or flooring?**
Yes, as an estimate to check in the shop.

**Can I add notes and photos?**
Yes, as numbered pins that print in the PDF.

**Do I need an account?**
No. Apple links your purchase to your Apple Account.

**Where are my plans stored?**
On your device, and in your own iCloud Drive if sync is on. LOW Works has no server that holds plans.

**Why does it ask for my location?**
It's optional. It's used for the north arrow and the street address on printouts, and isn't sent to LOW Works.
